Murphy O’Neill is the director of Adaptable Structures in Auckland, where he is developing what he claims is the world’s first “design for industrialisation” construction system. With roots in his family’s construction business, he has spent the last 10 years self-funding this venture after being inspired by the urgent housing needs following the Christchurch earthquakes.
